How do I care for and clean my BREEZE®2 meter?
It is important to avoid excessive water which may affect the electronic components.
Care Instructions:
- Store meter in carrying case provided whenever possible.
- Wash and dry hands thoroughly before handling to keep meter and test strips free of oils and other contaminants.
- Handle the meter carefully to avoid damaging the electronics or causing other malfunctions.
- Avoid exposing meter and test strips to excessive humidity, heat, cold, dust or dirt.
Cleaning Instructions:
- The exterior of the meter can be cleaned using a moist (not wet) lint-free cloth with a mild detergent or disinfectant solution, such as 1 part bleach mixed with 9 parts water. Do not use alcohol.
- Wipe the outside of the meter, taking care to keep detergent or disinfecting solution from running down into the test strip slot.
- Wipe dry with lint-free tissue after cleaning.
- If you do get moisture in the test strip slot, whisk it away with a corner of a tissue. Open meter by pressing on the open latch and pulling it. Inspect the test strip slot, from both inside and outside, for debris and foil. Gently remove if found.
Why did I receive an E8 error on my BREEZE®2 meter?
An E8 error indicates that the test strip was not completely filled. A certain degree of partial fill may trigger an E4 error rather than an E8 error. A combination of E4 and E8 errors indicate a partial fill.
To resolve: repeat the test with a larger blood sample.
Does the BREEZE®2 meter contain any latex?
